When the Win(bl)ows the Apple Will Rock!!

So-- are you finally sick and tired of those evil spyware bandits, who intentionally and through deceitful means, bring your computer sluggishly to its knees, rendering it unusable? Annoyed with the relentless distraction of those ever increasing pop-up advertisements that appear out of nowhere, often offending you and those within view? Are you exhausted by the constant employment of security measures and security counter measures necessary to combat viruses and protect the files that you have worked so hard to produce? Are you angry enough to finally do something about it—something that will actually work? If you answered yes, you will be excited to know that in the next few moments you will learn that a solution exists for those fed up with the repeated maintenance and troubleshooting required to keep their personal computers personal. In just a few easy steps, you’ll learn how to turn your currently troubled and tiring computing experience into one that increases productivity and encourages creativity.

The first step is realizing that there is a solution to your problem, and more importantly, that the solution to that problem was not created, packaged, or shipped by Bill Gates, his brainchild Microsoft, or any of its “strategic partners”. If you were not aware, the operating system that you are currently using is not the only one on the planet. In fact, it’s far from it. It is however, the only operating system on the planet that lacks the inherent strength and security to protect itself from the constant bombardment of hackers and advertising companies who exploit its weaknesses. Yes, it is time to make a change.

While it may be unfortunate, the next step requires the purchase of your new computer. This purchase is necessary because the new operating system, “OS X Tiger”, designed by Apple Computer, Inc., is designed specifically for installation on their hardware. At first glance, this required combination appears strategic and/or monopolistic. However, this could not be further from the truth. By maintaining strict hardware requirements, Apple insures the success and stability of their operating system. Recognizing this purchase as possible barrier of entry to those wanting to make the switch, Apple has created price points to fit almost any budget. With computers ranging in price from $499.00 to over $4000.00, there is a computer that fits your needs. The purchase of your new Apple computer, or Mac (short for Macintosh) as they are more commonly known, is easy. Simply visit any Apple Store, CompUSA, or Best Buy computer store, and a trained professional will assist you in choosing the Mac that is right for you. If however, you are more Internet savvy and/or know what kind of computer that will meet your needs, you can purchase online by visiting Apple’s website (www.apple.com/store) and your computer will be shipped directly to your doorstep.

With the hardest part behind you, the third and final step is not only the best, but also the easiest and most enjoyable. After purchasing and unpacking, setup is as simple as plugging in a few cords. While setup on different models may vary, they usually only differ in the addition of plugging in an external monitor. That’s it. To begin using, simply turn it on and follow the onscreen instructions. In seconds you will be using a computer that has been built from the ground up specifically for people like yourself who are tired of struggling to get their computers to perform even the simplest tasks.

Having made the switch myself two years ago, I could not be happier. Ironically, as a System Administrator at that time, it was my professional responsibility to troubleshoot and maintain hundreds of computer systems installed with Microsoft’s Windows operating systems. Over time I had to become an expert, not specifically because it was my passion, but rather because I needed to be productive and get my work done. With a Mac, you just turn it on and use it; maintenance is optional. It is a no nonsense approach to computing. That is because Apple’s OS X Tiger is immune to the torrent of garbage that plagues and cripples Microsoft’s operating systems daily. My professional opinion, if you are looking to break into the technology industry and want to learn how to troubleshoot broken computers, buy a computer with Microsoft Windows. Otherwise, if you want a computer that offers permanent respite from spyware, viruses and annoying pop-up advertisements, please refer back to step one.
