Blogging From My PC With Safari

What you didn't know you could run Safari on Windows? What about running iChat on a windows machine? Well i've done that too. That's right folks, I'm coming to you now with Mac Os X on my Emachines x86 Laptop!!! It's PearPC, and it's a Os X emulator for the PC. It's a little slow, basically it's like using VNC to do a remote connection to another machine. All in all it works and is a true testiment to what's to come. Sure it's a long way off from being able to run as your regular desktop, but how many people do you know running Mac Os X on their pc!!!!

Update: Here's a screenshot.

Welcoming to the Blogosphere: Kdub and Nocturnal Emissions

My brother IM'd me the other day asking if I would create a blog for him. And while it's empty now, I'm sure there's going to be some very deep thought put in to filling it. If you get a chance, check this bad boy out!!

Introducing afraabr

Andrew of AndrewSW has created a Feed Reader and Auto Blog Roll which he's calling afraabr (Andrew's Feed Reader and Auto-Blogroll). You can check it out here.
An example of it's power, Andrew says (when asked if he'd heard of PearPC):

"A nifty feature of what I've done - it caches the full text (if you subscribed to the full text feed, that is) (I didn't do that, FeedOnFeeds did, that, but anyway) and I implemented SEARCHING so I just did a search for "pearpc" and found that I had seen it on Buying a Mac on eBay?"

He was able to locate from which blog, he had heard of PearPC. Yes Andrew, that is pretty nifty!!

UPDATE: And you can see from this here, that he read MY post. Now that's satisfaction!

Mac Os X on My PC

I'm in the 4 hour process of installing Mac Os X on my PC using PearPC. It's taking a long time, but I'll let you know how it goes. Who knows how fast it's going to be. I've read reports that it's like running a 286. How fun that's going to be. Just think, the nostalgia of having a 286 again. WOOHOO!!!!
