It's A Good Thing!
Hey, what's fair is fair. If you're gonna take out one you better have enough integrity to also say the other is acceptable as well.

June 26, 2003Behind Closed DoorsI really wanted to write something about it, but I tell you scrappleface said it best. Making A CyberStinkI decided that I was tired of typing http://gir.cnation.com/blog every time I wanted to go to my blog or give the address to someone else. So I decided to take the advice from the voices in my head: "If you're tired of something then CHANGE IT!". *The reward will not be disclosed until after the reward is rewarded. June 24, 2003Fricken Thing Aint WorkinI been trying now for sometime to get my blog to not only ping weblogs.com but also to be listed there showing it's been updated. Now, today I'm trying to get myself listed correctly on blogshares.com. I'm not sure if I'm having a problem because my IP contains a port number or not. I'm not sure exactly what to do yet but this blog entry is more of a test entry and maybe someone has had this same problem as well. Who knows! or rather, Who knows? June 23, 2003Good Stuff In Da Email of AnothaThis is some good stuff here. I nearly fell out of my chair. It's not that it's written so much as a comedic piece, rather it's written with the thought of just how crazy some of this stuff really is and it puts it into perspective. I really like the insight here and appreciate the laugh. I'm here to pass it on............... June 20, 2003Obigabu's IPOWell I just opened up an account on Blogshare. I now will be actively trading the stock of my Blog, as well as the many others out there that can make me the phat monies I need to rule the wolrd. We Didn't Start the Fire....No Wait, We did, How Stupid Was That?Having never protested publicly, I might be ignorant to this. Who am I to say what feelings are rushing through your body while protesting. That you are elevated to such an irrational level that you not only entertain the idea but actually follow through with setting youself on FIRE. FADE IN: EXT. COURTHOUSE -- AFTERNOON Obigabu Stands proud on the front steps of the city courthouse. People around him carry signs and hurl insults at those who pass by. Feeling unnoticed and unheard, Obigabu reaches into his trench coat pocket and removes a lighter. He then begins to light his own trench coat on fire and stands there while immersed in flames. People around him shout and scream. Obigabu falls as a burnt dead corpse. EXT. COURTHOUSE -- LATER The steps are now empty except for the charred remains of Obigabu. A city worker carrying a shovel and five gallon paint bucket approaches the burnt corpse. He sets the bucket down and begins shoveling the remains into the bucket. FADE OUT: What a moron!!! Yea you showed them. You showed them how stupid you were. Here's what I think. The only way I can conceive of something as stupid as this happening is to say it was a granted wish. Now follow me here for a second. The people were protesting against the French government and looking outside the French government saw the people and someone said: "I wish those people would burn in hell". Something was messed up in the translation from French to the wish granting authority and they burnt in place. June 10, 2003Where In The Wolrd Is Carmen Santiago's Chemical Weapons?U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, deflecting criticism over not finding any weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) in Iraq yet. Things That Scare MePockets. Yea pockets scare me the most because you can't get out. June 03, 2003Netscape: The Great Escape From MicrosoftNetscape 7.0 is so far superior than IE. It's a much cleaner interface and is setup with the user in mind. The new "TABs" alone were enough to get me to download it. This last weekend I pulled one of my extra machines out of the closet and decided I had 100gb of hard drive space that were going to waste and I wanted to use them. I decided that I wanted to find a good version of linux that I could feel comfortable enough to run as a desktop machine. I tried Lindows and it was extremely slow and without a membership to their"Click and Run" warehouse it wasn't worth the effort. I then then installed RetHat and began looking for software for it. As I was looking for software and trying to learn more about the latest linux movement I found a forum talking about different linux distribution. The forum was comparing distributions for new linux users and were talking about Lindows, Lycoris, RedHat, Mandrake, SUSE, and Slackware. I read many post about Lycoris and decided to check it out. I downloaded and Installed a copy of Lycoris on my spare machine. WOW! I found if very easy to use and installing of packages was child's play. I was successfully able to install any package I needed without having to know any linux console commands. It was while finding programs to download that I found the use of Netscape's browser far more superior than IE. I had heard from wonko about these "Tabs" but was not exactly sure what they were. But what they are is what is so awesome about having them. They allow you to open up new browser windows with in a browser and allow you to switch between with ease. So if you wanted to have 10 different websites up and wanted to know exactly where each site was on which page, you could look at the tab and know what page was which. Very valuable indeed. They also have AIM built directly into the browser in a nice and clean interface that makes being online chatting and surfing the net very seamless. There are far more superiorities in Netscape and I suggest you try it for yourself. BTW, Its more pertty too! |
